Executive Secretary, Foundation Office/Full time

Responsible to the Executive Director of the Foundation and will provide support duties for the President of the college. Will be performing various duties supporting a multi-million dollar gift campaign including; maintaining an accurate database of donors, assisting with office management and communications, and conducting research and data collection of national, state and local organizations membership and prospective donors. Will also assist in planning, scheduling and coordinating meetings and events, preparing reports and materials for Foundation directors and trustees.

Requirements: Must have a high degree of written and verbal communication skills, strong secretarial and computer skills in Microsoft Office required. Must have thorough knowledge of office methods and procedures. Must have good customer service skills, be a self-starter and able to work with diverse populations. Must also be able to work flexible hours on evenings and weekends. Associate's degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Extensive secretarial experience required.

Adjunct Instructor, Spring 2006

Will also need to maintain an adequate on-hand supply of janitorial supplies and various cleaning materials in each custodial closet.

Requirements:Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Must be flexible in working routine in order to accommodate the many changes of college events. Must be able to work overtime and adapt to unscheduled activities. Must have knowledge of chemical products use and storage. Must be in good physical health and possess a Kansas drivers license. Ability to lift 50 lbs. without limitations required. Required knowledge of custodial duties, associated equipment and cleaning solvents. High school diploma required.

Responsible for providing academic advising and career planning services to present and potential students. Will be responsible to advise students with regard to degree requirements and transfer programs to other institutions. Will also advise students with career and occupational planning. Will administer and interpret ASSET placement exams.

Requirements: Must have strong interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills and have the ability to keep track of detailed information. Must have knowledge of needs of adult learners. Must be able to oversee both small and large groups and maintain a safe, clean environment. Must have general knowledge of nutrition, health and first aid. Prior experience working with infants, toddlers or 2-year olds. Associates degree in child development or its equivalent (30 credit hours of early childhood classes) preferred. Must have appropriate child development classes to meet state requirements. Must have a minimum of 12 hours in Early Childhood Development including infant/toddler content. Must be able to stoop, bend and pick up children on a regular basis.


Salary: Hourly rate of pay: $9.43.
